Our Style + Tone

The Gal Project voice is best described as: honest, smart, and human.

We value writing that feels lived-in and specific. Strong pieces typically include real moments, clear takeaways, and a perspective that’s grounded in experience—not generic advice. We welcome both reflective personal essays and practical pieces, as long as they’re written with depth, care, and a clear point of view.

What We Publish

We publish story-driven, useful, and human writing that helps women lead, grow, and stay visible in real life—not just on paper. We welcome both reflective essays and practical pieces, as long as they have a clear point of view and real takeaways.

Current themes include leadership and visibility, identity shifts and reinvention, community building, ambition and sustainability, founder life behind the scenes, motherhood and ambition, career pivots, and travel as transformation.

We also publish thoughtfully reported and lived-experience-based pieces on the current policy landscape and cultural forces that are pushing women backwards—and the real, practical impact these shifts have on women’s autonomy, work, healthcare, safety, family life, and economic mobility.

Our editorial lens is pro-woman, pro-autonomy, and pro-equality. We don’t publish partisan rage-bait, personal attacks, or misinformation; we do publish clear, grounded writing that connects policy to lived reality and actionable insight.

How to Contribute (Process)
