Transforming Travel

Meet Sahara Rose De Vore; she’s transforming travel and turning the industry on its head with her innovative concept of travel coaching. Sahara Rose De Vore reimagines the journey. It’s an exciting fusion of wanderlust and personal growth, meant to change how we perceive and experience our travels.

You see, it all started with a one-way ticket to Europe. Just fresh out of university, Sahara roamed the streets of Ireland with no definite plan in sight. The magic of travel unfolded before her eyes, and she was utterly smitten. Her decade-long journey across the globe taught her about the profound impacts of travel—the good, the bad, and the transformative. “I fell in love with what travel was doing for me,” Sahara reflects.

Transforming Travel and Breaking Boundaries in the Travel Industry

With a degree in hospitality and tourism management, Sahara could have easily slipped into a conventional role in the industry. But nothing felt aligned. She realized there was a glaring gap in the travel narrative. Travel was often marketed superficially, brushing aside its powerful healing potential. She questioned, “Why is that not being talked about in the tourism industry?”

Enter the Travel Coach Network. Founded in 2018, it’s not your typical travel agency. Instead, Sahara’s vision was clear: create a space where travel is as transformative emotionally and mentally as it is a getaway. “Unlike a travel agent, travel coaches do not focus on the booking phase of a trip,” Sahara explains. They are, instead, the confidants in your travel journey, helping you set intentions and explore the deeper ‘whys’ behind your travels.

Building this vision wasn’t a walk in the park. Sahara faced an uphill challenge: educating people about travel coaching. “The travel industry is a very stubborn industry,” she says. Dominated by old rules and perceptions, convincing people to see travel differently has been an ongoing effort. However, once people understand the concept, they’re onboard.

Her passion extends beyond business. Sahara touches many lives through her network, inspiring others to blend their personal stories with their love for travel. Whether it’s supporting remote workers in achieving work-life balance abroad or empowering women to rediscover themselves post-retirement, the Travel Coach Network offers a myriad of specializations. Sahara proudly shares stories of coaches who have turned personal adversities, like loss and grief, into life-changing journeys for themselves and others in transforming travel.

Sahara’s journey isn’t just about business; it’s about changing narratives. In a world that often hardwires us to think inside the box, Sahara’s endeavors remind us of the power of looking beyond the conventional. Her focus on intentional travel encourages folks to rethink what they want from their journeys, how they seek joy and healing, and how they come home transformed. (Transforming Travel)

On the personal side, Sahara is an embodiment of her business ethos. An artist at heart, she uses her talents as a form of self-expression and healing. She humorously downplays her achievements in art, noting, “I just do it as release as well as healing.”

So, what’s next for this trailblazer? The Travel Coach Network is expanding, offering programs in multiple languages, starting with Spanish. New partnerships, like one with the hotel guide media outlet, are on the horizon. And if you’ve got time in May, don’t miss their fifth annual Women Thrive Through Travel Mastermind event—an opportunity to delve into discussions on wellness, business, and more.
