Four versatile travel sneakers to step up your game

Here are five ultimate and versatile travel sneakers I tried and tested on my recent trip to the Far East. We’re talking about 30,000 steps a day sometimes–staying stylish, dry, and incredibly resilient.

But first, here is a little context: I recently ditched the idea of packing shoes entirely when traveling, opting for sneakers for every occasion. Yes, whether I’m wearing a dress, skirt, or jeans, it’s always sneakers for me now. The reason? It’s all about comfort, practicality, and, surprisingly, style!

Sneakers are incredibly versatile. You can dress them up or down, and let’s be honest, packing extra shoes for just one night out is unnecessary. The space those “special” shoes take up in your suitcase is better used for extra sneakers. It was on my last trip to Asia, and I took four pairs, and they worked out beautifully. I changed them out depending on the outfit and of course, to give my feet some variety. Because it’s never a good idea to wear the same shoe constantly.

For most of my shoes, I buy my own insoles for arch and stability support, which helps me avoid feeling pain and fatigue in my legs. However, all these shoes have great features, which I feel you’ll love–they all have a removable insole so that you can customize the fit with your own. I’ve noted everything below, so happy shopping and traveling

I especially like these for their style; they look great with wide-leg pants, rolled-up jeans, or a dress. I found them squishy and my feet warmed up a bit in terms of comfort, so consider these for cooler climates and shorter walks to a cafe or restaurant. STQ Skate Shoes $29.00

STQ Women Walking Shoes Casual Slip-on Sneakers

I called these my workhorses during this trip, and I wore these when we were taking on the city streets during the rainy season in Asia. They held up wonderfully and provided excellent support and spring action, eliminating leg fatigue. It was hot as hell some days, but my feet remained cool. In terms of style, well, some days, that wasn’t my goal, so I wore them with cropped pants. STQ Walking Shoes at Amazon $47.91

These are my all-time favorites for their comfort and water repellant. I wore them out on humid, hot days, and my feet never felt sweaty. Again, they are perfect for taking on long touring days in the heat or any weather, and they are stylish to match, so dress them up, ladies. Allbirds Tree Dasher at Amazon $135

I purchased these on a whim because I needed a pair of sneakers for walks at home, but I also took them on my travels, and they stood up well and—strange–they never seem to get dirty, even with the city grit. These are good for long touring days, my feet were well supported. Sorel’s Women’s Kinetic Lace Sneaker at Amazon $60 to $150
